Should you need to cancel your registration, you may reassign your registration to another person. All cancellations and substitutions must be notified in writing to Conference Innovators rachel@conference.nz. Registration cancellations received in writing before and including Wednesday, 18 March 2020 will receive a full refund less an administration charge of NZ$150.00. After this date refunds will be at the discretion of the Organising Committee. If, for reasons beyond the control of the Organising Committee, the Conference is cancelled, the registration fees will be refunded after deduction of expenses already incurred. Charges for cancellations of accommodation, particularly within one month of the meeting, will be subject to the discretion of the hotel concerned and your credit card may be charged a cancellation fee levied by the hotel. All terms and conditions for Hotel bookings are noted in the online registration process.

There are no session only registration options available for the Conference. We do however have one-day registration available for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

If your partner or guest would like to attend Conference sessions, they will need to register for the whole event or for the days they wish to attend. You can also purchase tickets for partners and guests to attend only the social functions such as the welcome reception and celebration function. Tickets for these events can be purchased as part of your registration process or you can modify your registration to include them at a later date.

On arrival to the Aotea Centre, please enter through the main doors and make your way to the registration desk, which is located in the BNZ Circle Foyer. The conference organisers will be at the registration desk to help you with directions around the venue.

The dress code during the conference is business casual.

When you register for the conference there is a question asking for any dietary requirements. This relates to specific requirements such as gluten free, vegetarian, lactose intolerance and allergies. Please list your requirements in this section. At the conference, the dietary specifications of each food item on general buffets and/or food stations will be listed. For any requirements that are not covered by the selections available for all delegates, there will be separate station where your meals will be available. The catering staff and conference staff will be on hand to help direct you. Please note that individual food preferences cannot be accommodated.

We ask that speakers register at the registration desk located on the BNZ Circle Foyer of the Aotea Centre upon arrival. You will then be directed to the conference speaker preparation room. Here you will be supported by an audio visual team member to ensure your presentation is loaded and ready for your session.

The final programme will be available on Friday, 28 February. Keep an eye on the programme here.

Once the programme is near completion (February 2020) the amount of points available for a New Zealand GP will be advised on the website.  The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners calculates every one hour of education learning to receive a CME point – not included are the opening ceremony, Ministers and Presidents addresses and social functions.

A certificate of attendance will emailed to all attendees at the completion of the conference – including details around how many New Zealand CME points you have received for attending the conference.

International GPs will need to contact their own Colleges to have these allocated.

The WONCA Asia Pacific Regional Conference is being held at the Aotea Centre, Auckland, New Zealand. The address is 50 Mayoral Drive, Auckland.

Te Rā Tūhura - Wednesday 22 April.

Hui-ā-Tau & Scientific Conference and WONCA Conference 2020 on Thursday 23 - Sunday 26 April 2020 at the Aotea Centre, Auckland, New Zealand.

Te ORA will be leading the Equity stream for the WONCA Conference, however, Te ORA will not lose our unique identity or opportunities to maintain our usual programme of events. We will still run our Medical Careers Expo, our AGM, our Scientific Conference, our Awards Ceremony and ensure our Tā Moko and Rongoā whanau are with us throughout.

For Te ORA members, registration will cover access to both WONCA and Hui-ā-Tau events.

At this stage Hui-ā-Tau & Scientific Conference are open to Te ORA Members only, however, some presenters may wish to open their sessions to WONCA attendees by way of invitation.

Yes, the Awards ceremony is scheduled for the Friday evening of the Conference following the RNZCGP Fellowship Award Ceremony, which is scheduled to finish at around 6.45pm.

The Awards Dinner will begin between 6:30pm and 7:30pm and will follow the same format as previous years.

A ticket to the awards dinner is included in the registration fee.  Extra tickets can be purchased via the registration process. Extra tickets are $75.00 inc gst, per person.

*Te ORA will be seeking Marae Accommodation if there is an indication for requirement from enough of our members. Members wanting Marae accommodation will be asked to contribute a koha.

This will help ensure you are registered for Hui-ā-Tau and also apply the Te ORA subsidy.
